Walmart Savings!

We did our every-other-week shopping at Walmart yesterday. There were a lot of items on roll back (because of the holiday?) and I was excited that we got to use a whole stack of coupons. We saved over $35.00 in coupons alone. That's not including savings from price matching or roll back items. We would have saved around $39.00, but the cashier didn't take off the price from one of our BOGO (buy one, get one free) coupons. I didn't realize that until we had left the store. That's disappointing, but we still saved a large amount and next time we can watch the cashier more closely while she scans the coupons.

A few of my favorite deals of the day:

Just Bunches cereal (from Honey Bunches of Oats) was $2.64. Using the $2/1 coupon, we got it for $0.64!

Planters mixed nuts was regularly priced at around $4.86 and they were on roll back for $4.50. Using the $3/1 coupon (if you purchase 3 other Kraft items), the final price was $1.50!

I might be getting my prices mixed up here, but we got another good deal on Blue Bunny ice cream bars. The large boxes (20 ct.) were originally priced $4.86 each, but they were on roll back for $4.50. Using two $1/1 coupons, the final price was $3.50 a box...or $0.18 for each individual fudge bar. Now that's a sweet deal!

Muir Glen diced tomatoes were $1.38 a can. Using 3 $1/1 coupons, the final price was $0.38 a can!

Purina cat food was over $8.00 a bag. Using this $4/1 coupon, we got it for just over $4.oo and saved nearly 50%!

Walmart Shopping Trip

Yesterday we went shopping at Walmart. By using coupons and matching sales from the other grocery stores ads, we saved over $25.00! I'm still very new at matching coupons and sales, so this might not sound like a good savings when our total bill was over $300.00, but hey... I'm still learning and $25.00 is still a savings!
